If DNA is Software, Who “Wrote” the Code?
Indeed for all of the amazing advancement of modern genetics, the actual energy of life has never been synthesised. DNA has been synthesised but it is always “copied and pasted” (or now edited) in a living host.
Geneticists aren’t ever creating life – they are switching the genes on and off using its internal software – and “copying and pasting” the code
And in our experience the ONLY source for either the interpretation of meaning, or its creation, is Mind.
We can see this clearly with all encoded intelligence; with computer software it is glaring in its truth because there has never been a software program created accidentally.
We have no idea of the origins of DNA, but now we do know one thing for sure – it must be the product of an intentional, active and immense intelligence.
It is akin to the notion expressed by astronomer Fred Hoyle that to consider the possibility of DNA arising by chance would be like a tornado going through a junk yard and assembling an aircraft. (Hoyle said this about life – DNA is the software of life)
With so many people confused and unsure of how and where we came from or what we are, and current science essentially ignoring this question (Consciousness – the hard question), it seems that the opening is right in front of us.
The Scientific Existence of a Higher Intelligence
This article gives a general overview of recent results in mathematical logic that should have a profound effect not only upon the foundations of creation-science but the foundations of all religious experiences and thought that either assume or logically require the existence of a supernatural higher intelligence. In particular, it is shown that the concept of the existence of a higher intelligence exterior to the material universe can be modeled rationally by means of the science of mathematics. It is established that human religious experiences and scientific models associated with either an assumption of or an implied requirement that a supernatural higher intelligence exists are not somehow or other irrational in character as it is claimed by many secular scientists and philosophers. Indeed, if such experiences or creation-science models directly correlate to certain customary Bible interpretations, then the assumption of irrationality is scientifically proved to be false
When concepts relative to the DNA molecule are modeled by means of information theory, one aspect of the obtained theoretical conclusions seems to defy human comprehension unless a very special postulate is assumed. As Wilder-Smith (1993) states:
“We are forced to come back to basics and assume that there must have been in the beginning an act of creation; an organ of the kind that makes the human brain tick (but infinitely more powerful, of course) to generate the concepts of biology on a much larger scale than the human brain can ever develop.
”The human mind, no matter how highly trained, cannot grasp the universe. We are in the position of a little child, entering a huge library whose walls are covered to the ceiling with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written those books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books, a mysterious order, which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of the human mind, even the greatest and most cultured, toward God. We see a universe marvelously arranged, obeying certain laws, but we understand the laws only dimly. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that sways the constellations” Einstein
No attempt will be made in this paper to give a nearly complete definition of human intelligence. But one of the crowning achievements of humanity has been the construction of a symbolic language as a substitute for oral expressions. Modern computer technology also allows for visual or audio impressions that are captured by mechanical devices to be translated into a symbolic language that can later reproduce, with great clarity, the original visual or audio content. Thus, for our purposes, human intelligence will include the ability to express thoughts and perceptions in a symbolic language comprehensible by others and, further, to present written arguments that follow patterns that correspond logically to procedures accepted by the majority of humanity.
“Life”- has produced this fantastic molecule called DNA that efficiently stores all kinds of information about your genes and how a living system works — it’s very, very compact and very durable,” said co-author Luis Ceze, UW associate professor of computer science and engineering.
”DNA molecules can store information many millions of times more densely than existing technologies for digital storage — flash drives, hard drives, magnetic and optical media. Those systems also degrade after a few years or decades, while DNA can reliably preserve information for centuries. DNA is best suited for archival applications, rather than instances where files need to be accessed immediately.”
- So what is the source of DNA?
- Who “wrote the code”? There is no answer to this question – I believe we simply need to accept not knowing the origin of DNA.But in terms of modern science, we need to rethink the implications and not take them for granted.Geneticists like Enriquez, who change genetic code through sequencing, seem oblivious to the implications for all of science: that what they are changing is literally “cosmic intellectual property.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KdOPY1Iqiw&feature=youtu.be
- So if Life itself is manifesting a property (intelligence) through its means of expression (DNA), must we not shift our orientation as the primary source of intelligence in nature from Ourselves (humans) to Life itself?
- If we now know that we can edit the code behind Life, don’t we necessarily need to redefine or begin to understand Life as the expression of Consciousness – instead of seeing ourselves as the source of such knowledge or insight? This is the Copernican revolution in psychology. We (humans and our science) can no longer consider ourselves as the source and center of all intelligence. Indeed our very sense of being (consciousness) arises from a space or source that is both mental (intelligent) and nonmaterial It must be felt – we are literally the product of an intelligence we can barely comprehend; in comparison to the consciousness that sourced Life, our materialist science is on the level of a Neanderthal.
Understand this – in reality, not metaphorically, DNA is software – the “program” behind life – and it must be an expression of Infinitely Intelligence.
Take it in: if DNA is software – who was/is the programmer?
